Banking Recruiters

Lenders, credit analysts, treasury management and the people who keep a bank running.

The practice

Recruiting for lending, credit and bank operations.

We recruit the people who make a bank run: the lenders who bring in and manage relationships, the analysts who make sure each credit holds up, and the specialists in treasury, servicing and finance who keep the work moving behind them.

Most of our banking searches are in Wisconsin and the wider Midwest, and we also work with banks nationwide. Some of these seats are front-line and relationship-driven; others are corporate banking roles that call for highly specialized people. Either way, the search is built around the role you actually have, not a generic job description.

Roles

Banking roles we recruit for.

  • Commercial lenders

Building and managing their own loan portfolio, and presenting larger credits to loan committee and the board.

  • Mortgage lenders

Residential first mortgages, home equity loans and lines, with working relationships with local realtors and builders.

  • Credit analysts

Working beside loan officers on client calls and preparing the credit write-ups that decisions rest on.

  • Treasury management sales officers

Growing fee income and cross-selling treasury products to commercial clients.

  • Loan servicing managers

Running servicing from disbursement through payoff, and the team that does it.

  • Bank accounting specialists

Finance-department roles inside the bank, from reconciliations to reporting.

Employers

Who we recruit for.

Commercial and retail banks of different sizes, from banks with a handful of branches to larger institutions with a dedicated corporate banking group. What they share is a need for people who can be trusted with credit and client relationships from the first month.

Assessment

What we look at before you meet anyone.

  • Credit judgement: how they structure, document and defend a loan.
  • Book quality and history, not only volume.
  • Fit with your bank's market, customers and lending appetite.
  • Why they would move, and whether the move makes sense for them.
The search

How a banking search runs.

  1. 01

    We learn the seat

Portfolio size and mix, lending authority, the market you serve and who the person reports to.

  2. 02

    We search and screen

We look beyond people who are actively applying, and screen for lending track record, not just titles.

  3. 03

    You meet a short list

Several qualified, prepared candidates, each with detailed reference information, including written references.

  4. 04

    We see it through

Interview scheduling, travel, honest feedback from both sides, and a quick response when an offer is made.

What you can expect.

If you are hiring

A short list you can act on, written references for each candidate, help lining up interviews, and straight answers when an offer is on the table.

If you are a candidate

Complete confidentiality: your resume does not go to any bank without your knowledge. Full details about the role and the bank before you decide to interview.
